Hey Guys
This is the 16th entry of Blog Every Day October and today I am going to be doing another film review and I normally I review the good stuff. Today I am going to be reviewing the worst comic book film ever - Batman & Robin
Now I remember watching this when I was 14 years old about to give it to one of my cousins before christmas to see if the video tape is ok and I watched the whole 2 hours and thought this was rubbish.
I decided yesterday and regretted to watch it again and I think its one of the worst films ever made. It does have a lot of comedy moments which for comic book fans they dont want to see at all but I didnt mind. I will admit the first 20 minutes of the film was good but a bit campy after that when the shit hits the fan.
I feel really sorry for George Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger who starred in some great stuff to be in poor outing of Batman. There were things that bugged me and it fall into the line what Cinemassacre said in his reviews of Batman & Robin
1) Batman saying "This is why Superman works alone" OMG thats bad
2) The Batman Credit Card what the hell thats not good.
3) The bad lines that the actors deliver as well, I didnt mind the puns that Mr Freeze (Schwarzenegger) delivered but it got a bit boring after a while
I feel adding Batgirl to this was a bad idea, I thought they could have done something a lot better with Alicia Silverstone who played her. I felt the Poison Ivy backstory was very weak and there was no plot with Bruce Wayne and his girlfriend Julie Madison (Played by Aussie Elle Macpherson) how did they end up together is something that has clued I wished they developed that.
I did like the Bane character because of his strength and not being the smartest guy. I will say I did like elements of Mr Freeze's backstory which showed how did he turn into Mr Freeze and how important it is to cure his wife which was nice but it didnt help the film too much.
I felt plot had none and had no serious character development, more aimed at kids.
I dont want to go on talking about the film now, I will say it is a piece of rubbish that was left out of the bin. It was more of a comedy action film than a serious action film which I know the they wanted to be serious but turned into a joke.
I give it 1 out of 5.
PLEASE DONT WATCH BATMAN & ROBIN
OK Video of the Day is going to Cinemassacre's Batman Movie Reviews which it is in 3 parts.
Part 1 - Which looked into the 1930's Batman and how it started + The 1960's series that made Batman a commerical success
Part 2 - Which looked into Batman, Batman Returns and Batman Forever
Part 3 - Which looked into Batman & Robin, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight
OK Thats it for now guys
Be back tomorrow

October 15th: Dont Write Me Off (National Autistic Society Campaign)
Hey Guys
This is the 15th Entry of Blog Every Day October and we are about half way the month which it has surprised me that I have done 15 blog entries in a row, I would be able to do that a year ago but now.
I was going to do this entry yesterday but when the T-shirts came I had to move this entry to today but at least I had an extra day to get some stuff.
OK today is a very serious topic is closely related to me and its called "Dont Write Me Off", I will be using a lot of quotes in this entry to back my case on why I am supporting the latest campaign done by the NAS (National Autistic Society).

I have been supporting the National Autistic Society for years but around 2004, I went away and then when the Project For Awesome that were set up on Youtube by the Vlogbrothers I decided to support the NAS again. I cant remember why I stopped supporting but it doesnt matter as long Im supporting them again thats what counts.
The new campaign "Don't Write Me Off" is to help people who have autism to find a full time job and to get employers to recognise this and not discriminate against them.
I was watching a news segment the other day on BBC, showing someone looking for work at every company and wouldnt give up and he is autistic.
I was looking at the New National Autistic Society website - Don't Write Me Off
From their website I found some research that I found shocking
The next few paragraphs are from the website and I agree with these points mentioned.
"From this research, the Don’t Write Me Off campaign found that of the people we surveyed:
* just 15% have a full-time job
* one third are currently without a job or access to benefits
* 79% of those on Incapacity Benefit want to work.
The experiences that people with autism have shared with us show that, sadly, the majority are not getting the support they need to find a job and many more cannot access the benefits they need to live on.
However, it doesn’t have to be like this. There are clear and often simple steps that governments across the UK can take to deliver real change for people with autism. Adults with autism need:
* Employment and Support Allowance to work for them
* Jobcentre Plus staff to understand and meet their needs
* a national strategy to transform access to employment."
Here's a video of the campaign they are doing
I really hope this does work. Im glad I got a job working with Tescos and glad to be apart of it.
The video of the day goes to Abby Simons AKA Songsfromahat on Youtube. I have spoken to her once over a year when she stayed over in the UK and she was really cool. She just came back with a new song called Best Friend
OK Thats it for now guys, I will be back tomorrow.

October 14th: Barry Aldridge Real Name No Gimmicks T-Shirt is Out Now
Hey Guys
This is the 14th entry of Blog Every Day October and I got some good news on the T-shirt front it is now available to buy for you to wear.
All you have is to go to your right above my profile bit and it says "Barry Aldridge Real Name No Gimmicks T-Shirt"
Now the price for the T-shirts is £15 pounds if you live in the UK and £17 if you live outside the UK.
Here's some pictures of me wearing the T-shirt

I had 48 T-shirts ready to be sold to you as it is only a limited edition T-shirt that NSG and myself agreed on. Once we have sold them all there is going to be no more, thats it.
Now every 2 pounds from each T-shirt sold goes to charity and it is the National Autistic Society which is a UK charity that looks into Autism.
Im really excited and cant wait to get started to packing them out to you guys.
I did a secret on the spot promotion without mentioning it in my latest Face 2 Face interview with Smivadee if you notice me asking the questions bits.
Speaking about this Face 2 Face Interview, Smivadee is one of my favourite guys on Youtube and a top guy to meet. When I asked him if he wanted to do it, I was so glad and I posted him a lot of different questions like I did with Ivens (Badm4ths) which was cool.
When I got his footage it was in great quality and I was able to watch it in Quicktime once I put it in my editing software it had a problem for some reason the picture and sound went out of sync so I got upset about it and then I decided to upload Smivs interview footage on another video sharing and used Videoget to download them in WMV which was cool and worked in sync in the editing software then suddenly another problem which was the sound cut out at certain points, lucky though I had the audio from the MOV version of the interview and put in some of the mov to make look like it had a flow without it cutting out at certain points which was cool and ended up the interview above.
I feel really happy about this interview and I feel its one of my favourites.
OK Finally video of the day goes to one of my favourite vloggers on Youtube and its DigitilSoul who did this video called "Bold behind the Mask"
Watch the video it explains better than I ever could.
Thats it for now

October 13th: What is Spam?
Hey Guys
13th Entry of Blog Every Day October and todays topic is Spam

Not the food but the phrase that is used on the Internet when someone is using something to promote their new video, picture or soundbyte to the max. Now I can understand someone doing this if it was something really important that has happened to the website or something thats going on in the world that people maybe interested.
Now this morning I decided to unlink my Dailybooth and Twitter for the second time and this time for good. I can understand from Jacob Dyer when I was reading his twitter that he got annoyed about people twitting their Dailybooth pictures and Tumblr Posts but the thing is that people decided to link them together which I dont mind them doing that, its their own personal opinion but if they are doing constantly then it gets annoying and then thats what give the idea as spam.
I can understand if Jacob unfollowed me on Twitter for the dailybooth pictures but it was because I linked Twitter and Dailybooth again but to me it wasnt spamming, If I kept on posting the same link of pictures over and over again, then thats spamming. There is a difference, lucky though Jacob did remind me to unlink Dailybooth + Twitter. I will only post a dailybooth picture on twitter if its something epic or important
I used to twittered my videos a bit but now I only do it once to twice like one for as soon the video drops and again if it needs it. My last video I didnt tweet it at all which is good.
I know we want to promote our videos to all our friends and make sure they do well. Now I am going to enjoy and relie on luck for the videos to do well and tweet if its something I really worked hard on like Face 2 Face Interviews. I do get annoyed when people/friends call you a spammer when you know you are not.
Thats enough on the issue of spamming.
We are nearly ready to sell the Barry Aldridge Real Name No Gimmicks T-Shirts, I got the packets and now waiting on the T-Shirts. I bet one or two are thinking Im spamming on this lol. OK seriously Im really excited about this for real. The next time you will more about this is when I am going to start selling the T-shirts. Hooray.
Finally video of the day goes Angry Video Game Nerd again, sorry but I love this guy and reviews on bad video games they are so funny to watch. I may do another one of his videos as video of the day one day. Today its his 3 part review of the CD-I
Part 1 - Hotel Mario CD-I
Part 2 - Zelda CD-I Games
Part 3 - More Zelda CD-I Games
OK guys I got to go, I am thinking about redesigning my blog one day to make it look better.
Bye for now
Barry
EDIT - (10:30am GMT) Im still going to link Twitter to my 2nd Facebook page which is for Internet friends I know, So the Barry rnng Aldridge statuses will be all be from twitter. I did unlink it from my personal Facebook (original one) a while ago.

October 12th: My Love For The Westcountry (South West Of England)
Hey Guys
Welcome to 12th entry of Blog Every Day October, I wanted to do a blog entry yesterday reflecting on how I feel so far but now back to normal business and today I am here to talk about the WESTCOUNTRY aka The West/South West Of England.

I have always loved this area of country whether it was going away on holiday or a day trip visit if it was somewhere to get away to or a gathering which I have done for Bristol twice.
I havent visited everywhere in the Westcountry which I thought I did but I have been to most places even if it was a stop over whether to home or going to back to hotel where we were staying.
I can best remember of trips to the westcountry over the last couple of years. It included going to Newquay, Truro & Bristol last year and going to Bath Spa and back to Bristol this year.
I loved the holiday I had down Newquay last year, I was there for a lot stuff other than going to bars and having some drinks with my mate Arron.
The nightlife in Newquay is fantastic if you are in that sort of thing Im into sometimes but not all the time. My mate and I went to Aquarium and went Swimming on other days which was really cool.
During the week of the holiday we went to a town called Truro which had an old school look to it and looked great and we went to see Hancock with the family as well at the local cinema. Its great to walk around the town
Even though the final day at Newquay was raining really hard, I had a great holiday last year.
After that I went to Bristol for a gathering which was fun and have mentioned in past blogs and thats my trips to Westcountry last year. Then I went to Bath and back to Bristol again this year. I have mentioned these as well in past blog entries.
OK onto video of the day and I am going to go to a video done by the Vlogbrothers about the Puppy Elephant Defends Capitalism
Thats it for now guys

October 11th: How am I feeling about BEDO.
Hey Guys
11th entry of Blog Every Day October and Im surprised I have reached this far, Im having fun doing these entries, there were a couple of days I wasnt in the mood but lucky though I was able to do them.
I have tried to be very mixed with the entries whether it is talking about an event that is happening on a particular day or week, a couple of film reviews including one that came out in the cinemas a couple of days ago which is great.
Its nice to try out challenges whether you have done it before or its something new which I used to do blog entries nearly every day a year ago, I think when it comes to people not doing blog entries that much anymore I can see why.
It can really hard to talk about something every day unless you have a wealth of information on a lot of topics. Im feeling really good lately as things have been going alright and I couldnt complain.
I hate it when people complain over the smallest things if its over the size of the food unless the packing said something different to the product. I know strange example.
BEDO is really good for me to improve on keeping a sort of mini dairy for the month ahead.
OK an update on the T-shirts is that they are coming along really well and NSG said they are being made and should head to us in the next week which should be awesome and I ordered the packets ready for the T-shirts to be sold and I got to sort out one or two small things with Paypal then I will be ready to sell the T-shirts.
Good news is its going to be the design that NSG and me created:

Im really excited about games coming out this month and the top 2 titles Im looking forward are
- Uncharted 2 (Among Thieves)
- DJ Hero
There are loads of films being released on Blu-Ray before Christmas which is brilliant including Star Trek, Harry Potter, Transformers 2 and more. Good times ahead.
OK onto the video of the day, I have been doing another Angry Video Game Nerd marathon and I would like to share one of my favourite reviews from the eariler days of the Nerd when he was known as the Angry Nintendo Nerd.
OK everyone thats it for now

October 10th: Film Review: UP 3D in the cinema
Hey guys
Welcome to the 10th entry of Blog Every Day October and Im sort of struggling to try to remember to write posts every day but I hope to get there in the end.
Today is another film review and it was film I went to see yesterday in the cinema called UP.

I know that it came out in America 3 months ago at least and I was really excited for this release. It is Pete Docter's 2nd film after my one of favourite pixar films "Monsters Inc".
So whats the story about
It begins with Carl Fredricksen, a shy and quiet young boy, meets an energetic and outgoing bucktoothed barefooted tomboy named Ellie, discovering they share the same interest in exploration as their hero, famed explorer Charles F. Muntz. Ellie expresses her desire to move her clubhouse to Paradise Falls in South America, a promise she makes Carl keep. Carl and Ellie wed and grow old together in the old house where they first met while making a living as a toy balloon vendor and a zookeeper respectively. Unable to have children, they also try to save up for the trip to Paradise Falls but other financial obligations arise. Just as they seem to finally be able to take their trip, Ellie dies of old age, leaving Carl living alone in their home as a sour recluse with nothing to live for and missing his wife terribly. As the years pass, the city grows around Carl's house with construction as Carl refuses to move. After a tussle with a construction worker over Carl's broken mailbox, the court orders Carl to move into Shady Oaks Retirement Home. Carl comes up with a scheme to keep his promise to Ellie, and uses his old professional supplies to create a makeshift airship using tens of thousands of helium balloons which lift his house off its foundations. Russell, a Wilderness Explorer trying to earn his final merit badge for "Assisting the Elderly", has stowed away on the porch after being sent on a literal snipe hunt by Carl the day before.
Along the way Carl and Russell meet up Kevin a large, flightless tropical bird. Russell impulsively gives the bird a male name, only later learning that Kevin is female. They also meet up Dug, a talking golden retriever[17] with a collar that translates his thoughts into comical-sounding languages (when Russell plays with the collar), and is the odd duck out of a pack of dogs with similar collars.
Now when Arron and myself went to the cinema we decided to see it in 3D which I explain about why it was let down in a bit.
Anyway I loved the story of this film, it was heartwarming and at times I nearly cried especially with the opening when Ellie passed away and when they lost Kevin at one point. Pizar really know what to do with their audiences unlike a lot of film companies when it comes to character, story and situations that could be believable to people. I tip my hat to them.
On the let down points was the 3D, I felt there wasnt enough 3D to make it really good. The glasses were got were good but the way the 3D was done was a real let down.
It was still a brilliant film overall onto the final scores
Final Ratings
Film - 5/5
3D - 2/5 - bit of a let down
Overall - 4/5 - being generous because the film was brilliant
Here's a trailer to the film UP
Here's also a clip when Carl and Russell meet Dug for the first time
Thats my review done hope you like the film as well.
The Videos Of The Day is a song by Finger Eleven called One Thing one of the videos is the original and the other is cover done by a youtuber called scottmc127
OK Thats today entry, hope you have a great day

October 9th: Hot Fuzz Film Review
Hey Guys
This is the 9th entry of Blog Every Day October (BEDO) and I wanted to do a film review as one of my entries at least and today I have chosen a classic film to review and its called "Hot Fuzz"

The film is about Top PC Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is transferred from the busy streets of London to the quiet village of Sandford. Angel struggles with Sandford being so high on accidents and so down on murders and having an oafish partner Danny (Nick Frost). He finds out that there were a lot of murders going on in the town, the real action kicks in and gets a lot of laughs along the way.
This is one of my favourite films of 2007. It is written by the brillant Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright who work brilliantly as a team. I have always loved the chemistry of Pegg and Frost ever since Spaced which was a fantastic sitcom which I go back to watch every now and then.
It does have a really strong cast that help to support their roles Jim Broadbent, Timothy Dalton, Rafe Spall (Who I used to go to primary school with), Paddy Considine, Olivia Colman, Bill Bailey and everyone esle from the cast. It does feature some cameos from Steve Coogan, Martin Freeman and Bill Nighy who play the London Metropolitan Police Service.
The jokes and timing of them were spot on that they hit the correct points which I see in a lot of comedy films they fail to do that and Im glad that Pegg made the transition from TV to film brilliantly, which I think he has done a better job than Gervais.
The only problem I had Hot Fuzz is that it goes go over the top at times and at times it was a bit graphic some of the violence but if you think about it. Its a comedy film not to be taken seriously like a lot of the action American films. I heard the police complained about Hot Fuzz which I find wrong and I thought they would see the funny side but I was wrong shame.
Overall its a brilliant film you should buy on DVD and its coming out on Blu-Ray soon in the UK, I dont know about the US and the rest of the world.
Overall I give Hot Fuzz 4.75 out of 5
Now onto my video of the day I have decided to put an Angry Video Game Nerd video as mine because I really like his videos of reviewing past computer games now Im going to include his latest video which is the first part look into the Castlevania games
Thats it for now guys
Be back tomorrow

October 8th: National Poetry Day and Update on the Barry Aldridge T-Shirt
Hey Guys
Welcome to the 8th entry of Blog Every Day October (BEDO) today I am going to be talking about National Poetry Day and why I love Poetry and why I reckon Rap/Hip-Hop has a connection with Poetry using Rappers like 2Pac and Eminem for example.
But first of all another update on the Barry Aldridge T-Shirt good news is that NSG had finally got an e-mail from the T-shirt company which is excellent but the bad news is we cant sell the t-shirts for a tenner like NSG's Bear Attack ones.
So the price planning for the Barry Aldridge "Real Name No Gimmicks" T-Shirt follows
- UK £15
- International £17
I got a paypal thing setup in my blogger but dont click on buying yet PLEASE Im just testing it ready when I get the T-shirt ready to sell. So dont buy yet until there is either A) A video promoting the T-shirt or B) A blog post promoting the T-shirts.
Today is National Poetry Day
The National Poetry Day Website
I was always interested in poetry since my GCSE days when taking English GCSEs, I remember reading Seamus Heaney who is one of my favourite poetry writers. I love how each line ends with a word to rhymes with the previous line the only way you can not make them rhyme is the third line to the fourth I think. If anyone knows why or If I got it wrong please comment before.
There is a lot to discuss on Poetry from Wikipedia as it deals with different types from different cultures
Poetry Wikipedia Link
Now my favourite type of poetry isnt from books or short poem books but it deals more Hip Hop/Rap, now I know a lot of Rap does have violent content and treats women unfairly which I dont like but I prefer Raps with a lot more heart to it and deals with other things going on in the world
Now 2Pac Shakur is an MC that closely follows with raps of poetry
According to BVMUndergroundHipHop page describing 2Pac Shakur
"Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rapper. In addition to his status as a top-selling recording artist, Shakur was a promising actor and a social activist. Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society and conflicts with other rappers. Shakur's work is known for advocating political, economic, social and racial equality, as well as his raw descriptions of violence, drug and alcohol abuse and conflicts with the law."
2Pac in my opinion was a very strong rapper that believed that people should be helped that strongly included his own race. I loved a lot of his raps and consider him one of the best rappers of all time.
I remember a couple of his songs as being strong with poetry themes in them.
Dear Mama
Got to Keep Ya Head Up
He had a really voice to the streets and felt he had strong backing but he even realised that aint true. When he thought that Bad Boys Biggie Smalls and P. Diddy were behind his shooting in 1994. So 2Pac had decided to go after some East Coast MCs in a song which in my opinion is the most vicious diss record of all time.
Hit 'Em Up (Feat. Outlawz) - (Diss to several East Coast Rappers)
In the end his life was taken away six days after a shooting after a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas
I do wish 2Pac was alive but life goes on, I think he would be really happy to see Barack Obama being President of the United States.
The second MC that I believe that has great poetry within his raps is an Independent artist Felipe Andres Coronel better known as his stage name Immortal Technique.
Immortal Technique is a rapper and a political activist, he has turned down many deals including from Sony and Def Jam Records, so then he has control of his own production. He has stated that the record companies are more likely to make profits than the artists if signed to a major deal.
To me Immortal Technique has a really powerful voice to speak his mind and never shys from any subjects, I remember a song he did of "Revolutionary Volume 2" called "You Never Know" about Immortal Technique laments a missed opportunity at love as well as huge tragedy which he experienced personally, its a really sad song and very different to other relationship songs I have heard.
Immortal Technique Feat Jean Grae - You Never Know (Just listen to the song)
Immortal Technique is another favourite MC of mine and always kept it real.
For Video Of The Day I am going to choose 3 videos from 3 different MCs
First of all comes from my favourite Independent MC Immortal Technique who did this song called "One". I listen to the lyrics really closely on this song
The second video is one of my favourite 2Pac songs that was commerical and its called Changes
The third and final video is from Eminem and one of my favourite songs of his since Stan and its called Beautiful
Thats it for now

October 7th: My Opinion On Selling Out
Hey Guys
7th Entry of Blog Every Day October (BEDO) and I thought I'll share an opinion about selling out.
Before I do that I thought I'll give you an update on the Real Name No Gimmicks T-Shirt thing. Its taking a long to hear back from the T-shirt makers according to NSG as he hasn't heard a word from them and he is trying to contact them again, also it may cost a bit more buy because the colour Red so it could be a little longer to get our hands on the T-shirt.
Just a reminder for people wondering what the T-shirt will look like

Anyway I wanted to share my views on selling out today. I was going to save this until later the month. Selling Out is something that quite a few people dont want to do and that does include me.
Selling out and money are really touchy subjects for me as I never like to discuss business unless I know its with someone Im really cool with like for example the T-shirt thing Im doing with NSG I know its something we both want to do.
Now the issue of selling out to me is a little more complex now If I did a video reviewing a computer game and give my honest opinions thats not selling out. If I did a video reviewing a computer game, whilst being paid and giving my honest opinions then thats not selling out but If I did a video reviewing a computer game whilst being paid and I have baised with the company that paid and say its brilliant game while in reality I hated the game then that my friends is what I think is SELLING OUT.
I know that most people would jump at the opporunity if they were offer a part in a commerical as it could be one time deal only as I can understand that but with me I just prefer living a normal life as I can without any hassle.
I really like the John Green's (Vlogbrothers) video on what he thought selling out is
His Brother Hank also brings up some points about advertisement and that people have no idea what adverts we could be getting as Youtube Partners.
It is true what Hank is saying that we who create the video content have no idea what adverts are going to appear in the videos that I do as well.
So to me selling out is not a big issue when it only comes to a moral dilemma that I hope not to face one day.
Thats my opinion on selling out
Video of the day goes to CheekTV and BazMcStay for their Collab called Psychic. Really cool stuff.
Thats all for now everyone
Speak again tomorrow

October 6th: I always wanted to learn Sign Language
Hey everyone
Welcome to the 6th entry of Blog Every Day October (BEDO
Today I was looking at more of the special days or national days that Gary send me at the beginning and I found another interesting thing from Yesterday (5th) to the 11th is Learn to Sign Week.
Learn to Sign Week
Why am I interested in this. It is because I always wanted to learn sign language since I was 14 years old but never got around to doing it. There maybe a time when I may have a friend who has trouble speaking and may have to use sign language. I feel that I need to get this done before I pass on. If I remember to I will have some time to do this, at the moment Im trying to get used to my job at Tescos at the moment before I do this.
I always find it interesting to learn something new whether it is a skill at a job or something at home that I havent used before.
I think that people with sign language should be recognised out in the big wide world, as a lot of people will agree with me that no matter whatever your disability you can still make it in the world.
In a couple of days is National Poetry Day which I do as the 8th entry as poetry is something interesting to me and reminds me of rap music
My video of the day goes to DelaneWazHere who is New Zealand Comedian and makes great videos. Here is his latest one
Have a great day everyone
Bye for now

October 5th: 40 Years of Monty Python Heaven
Hey Guys
This is my 5th entry for Blog Every Day October (BEDO)
Today when I woke up late after having one of the worst nights of sleep ever, I was watching the BBC news which I dont normally do and saw something that said that Monty Python has been on our screens for 40 years. I can not believe that it first started back in 1969 with the Flying Circus series and it has some of the most memorable sketches ever.
Here's some great sketches from the show
Along with the series then came along the films
- Monty Python's Meaning Of Life
- Monty Python's Life Of Brain
- Monty Python and The Holy Grail
- And Now For Something Completely Different
Here's some more clips
There is also a Live performance from the Hollywood Bowl as well which was turned into a film as well. Which has made Monty Python one of the greatest comedies of all time.
Americans love it as well, which I feel proud of, when something comes over from America it is taken in by our British audience like Friends and The Simpsons. It is really hard to break into the American Market but Monty Python has done that which is brilliant.
Here is a clip from different actors/directors from America talk about why they love Monty Python that they say they would have done certain work if it wasnt for Monty Python.
It does make me proud to be British.
I thought I'll leave you in my opinion the best version of the Lumberjack song ever from the Monty Python Live At The Hollywood Bowl performed by Eric Idle as my video of the day.
OK thats it for now
See you guys tomorrow.

October 4th: Barry Aldridge "Real Name No Gimmicks" T-Shirt Coming Soon
Hey Guys
Welcome to the 4th entry of Blog Every Day October (BEDO), at the end of Yesterday's I said I will be mentioning something once it has been confirmed.
Watch this video and then read on
Basically by the title there is going to be a Barry Aldridge "Real Name No Gimmicks" T-Shirt coming soon. Now NSG and myself had this idea for a while. NSG came up with the idea at first a while ago when we met in London at one point then it got mentioned once the Bear Attack T-Shirts were starting to sell and then finally before NSG got to do his act on the night he mentioned it again and he said he needed help with the business ie with the packing and thought I always wanted to do this as a one off thing, it could happen again who knows.
So we got to start with our master plan to sell 50 T-shirts of Barry Aldridge Real Name No Gimmicks, we started off with making some calls to family to see if I was to do this and I got the green light if I didnt get the green light I wouldnt be doing this blog entry.
Once that was out of the way we decided to work on the design of the T-shirt at first we went with the white and the saying but it didnt work that we decided to Barry Aldridge Real Name No Gimmicks plus a picture of me and NSG decided to use the one of me in a suit which was cool. We both thought it needed to be a different colour the T-shirt so since it was going to be my T-shirt I suggested Red as it is my favourite colour and went ahead as planned then NSG suggested to make my Picture of the suit and black/white it which was awesome. So it came out like this.

I really happy for the design and the same with NSG as he likes it. It should out really soon. I do need some of NSGs help when it comes to the paypal but thats it really.
The idea for the T-shirt prices could be the same as the Bear Attack T-shirts. It is going to be sold worldwide for people who live outside the UK. It is going to be a limited edition T-Shirt like I said with 50 T-shirts sold.
I will do a video in the future once I have the T-shirts ready to sell.
Im so excited with this project that I am doing with NSG.
I will be back again tomorrow with another entry.
Barry
EDIT (4th October 8:30pm GMT) - I forgot about video of the day and it goes to Myles Dyer for his BBC interview Robert Lwellyen which is fantastic

October 3rd - Trip to London Town to see friends and NSG Gig
Hey Guys
Welcome to my third entry of Blog Every Day October and today I thought I'll tell you about my trip to London and as I am writing this Im at NSGs after only having 4 hours kip. I drank a lot of coke last night.
Lets move on OK I had a bit of a good start to the day when I woke up from the worst sleep and got my Mr Bean DVDs that I had been waiting for. I got the live action DVDs for quite a lot off. Anyway I was filming my bits for the new series of Face 2 Face and the guest was MyNameIsChrisYeah who I did a chinwag.
In this edition of Face 2 Face we collabrated together to make it a really good start to the series. Once I had done the filming I was pretty tight on time to do the editing and putting it up on Youtube so then I could go up and meet Danny Tee (JumpNBounce). Lucky though I was able to complete everything before I had to catch my train.
So here is the interview with MyNameIsChrisYeah
Now it was 1 o'clock and I was to get the train to London Victoria on the way to meet Danny and I had to get a travelcard for the trip around London and getting to the gig later on. I met Danny at Trafagular Square by the lions and headed on the way to Leicester Square to meet Myles and Amy (Who is helping Myles with some photo shoots, I dont know what for) in the Pizza Hut and chatted for a bit then went off to the Apple Store.
At the apple store I was checking on e-mail messages and did an apple store with Danny and Myles who came for a bit Apple Store With JumpNBounce (featuring Blade376) . While at the store I met up with someone who worked in GDB in which I did a trial for 2 weeks now working for the Apple Store and he told me that most people lost their jobs after I left which I consider it was good that I was let go from it.
After that we had to take Danny back to Waterloo so then he could head home and I stayed with Myles and Amy for some more photo shooting they had to do which was cool then we were on our way to Liverpool Street for NSGs gig to showcase DJ Hero. Now NSG worked on the DJ Hero game and produced 3 mixes that people know about and here they are
Which are brilliant mixes, my favourite is Dizzee Rascal Vs Justice if you want to know. When we arrived at the Vibe Bar in Brick Lane Myles, Amy and myself were an hour early and met NSG later on and we found out the booth thing that was going to get people playing on DJ Hero wasnt working which sucked. We listened to tunes then around 11 o'clock in the evening NSG performed a brilliant set which people were getting into which was great. Good news is that people were to see someone do a DJ Hero demo and looked impressive. We stayed there until 1am and went on to Trafik place for a bit with NSGs family and friends and NSG and myself were getting tired and decided to head back to NSGs for a couple of games and get some sleep.
Thats my day in London and it was a great night to see a gig showcasing the game.
OK Video of the Day since it has been a DJ Hero theme I will choose the NSGs videos that I have mentioned and another mix I like below
Thats it for now guys, there is stuff I want to say but I will leave it for another day.

October 2nd: International Walk To School Month and my experiences of walking to school
Hey Guys
Welcome to my 2nd entry for BEDO (Blog Every Day October), Im writing this at the stroke of midnight which turned into the 2nd.
INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL MONTH
Now I would like to thank Gary also known as CheekTV for commenting on a number of things I could talk about this month and suggested a good website from Woodlands Junior School and the one I would like to talk is International Walk To School Month.
Walk To School Website

Basically its to get parents and kids to stop going by school by cars and getting them to walk to school. Now here in the UK we do have a walk to school week which takes place normally around May. Now the International one that takes place this month is more of a global event each year which to me is fantastic.
Now I used to walk to school a lot around my Primary and Secondary school days. I sometimes get a lift from my family which is nice. When I was younger I used to hate walking to school whatever the weather was, even if it was sunny. I was an arsehole teenager lol, as nowadays looking back I would say Im actually glad I walked to school, it gives exercise unlike travelling by car.
When it was walking to secondary school it took 20 minutes with going up a couple of hills and down one that was annoying but it was nice to take in at times unless I was late for school. With walking you get fresh air of it even though living in London it was never that clean the air because of the pollution around but it was good looking back even though when I was a teen I hated it. Always loved a good walk.
VIDEO OF THE DAY 2
OK Video Of The Day is an old one from one of my favourite youtubers CorporalCadet and its a video that got globally featured last year called "Perfection"
So thats it for todays entry.
If you got any more suggestions I could talk about please leave a comment and who knows I could talk about it.

October 1st: Introduction to Blog Every Day October (BEDO)
Hey Guys
I decided to set up a challenge for myself and write a blog entry every day in October which is going to be quite the challenge to do. I AM NOT ASKING people to join in (sorry for the caps just an express a point) as I am doing this for my own personal use to look back on.
There are rules for myself to do this and I will look back on
1) I cant talk about family/domestic problems like my past blogs I have done not mentioning them
2) I cant talk about my job with Tescos as I believe what is at work should stay at work
3) I cant talk about the same thing for more than 1 entry as I have to express my points within one entry, if I change my mind on something or something else pops up then I have to edit that blog entry.
4) It can only be one entry a day.
OK thats explaining the rules done now I can get on
WHY I AM DOING THIS?
Some of you are wondering why I am doing this, like I said in the intro its for my own personal use and you dont have to take part in this. I feel it is a challenge for me to do this. If you dont want to read every day thats fine I ain't forcing people to do this, This is a personal goal I want to do.
I can talk about anything over the next 31 days and talk about them in an open and honest way that doesnt involve family, friends and work.
Here's what can I do
* Talk about things I have seen
* Talk about a story that I have seen on the news
* Talk about favourite videos
* Talk about reviews of films/video games etc
So basically this entry is about me explaining what I am going to do.
I will be doing a video of the day for every day this month in this blog not me lol.
Todays video of the day is Dr Noise's Rehearsal (Part 4 - Exterminate Regenerate performance)
Hope you enjoy the video
If you got any suggestions what can I talk about in October feel free to drop a comment, even you say it is a bad idea to do this lol.
See you guys/girls tomorrow

New Job and Im not Youtube Famous but Im part of the Underground crowd I think
Hey guys
Before I begin I want you to check out a music video from my friend Alan (TEMPHUiBIS) who has produced an outstanding music video for his first single off his 2nd album. I thought it was so worth the wait.
Pulsariffic Current Music Video
NEW JOB
Im feeling really good lately as few things have been happening. OK first of all I mentioned it on Twitter, Dailybooth and Facebook that I got a new part time job with Tescos Express which I work 3 days a week which is fantastic, as I really need the money lately. Its an all round job doing a lot of stuff which is great for my CV when it comes to looking for other work in the future if I want to pursue other work after beening with them for a while.
This is going to be the only entry I talk about the job as I rather focus on talking about other things within my blog unless it is something really important news with the job.
IM UNDERGROUND NOT MAINSTREAM
Ok with this part I had some real thinking. I have come to include I am part of the underground crowd on Youtube. I know a lot of you are going to say that Im crazy to say that but there are some points I should mention
1) I dont do videos all the time talking about whats going on in the Youtube community whether its a type of drama going on or a album that has been released by a Youtube musician that I got through the post but there will be a time I will do that.
Especially with my friend Bill aka Dr Noise releasing his EP with DFTBA in the next couple of weeks, Im really excited for that and mentioned that to Bill as well.
2) I talk and do all kinds of things with my videos and not stick to one format all the time. I am a nerdfighter and proud to be but sometimes I like to do videos talking or doing other things like one video will be a Face 2 Face, another would be a Barry Aldridge Asks or Update vlog to tell people whats going on.
Now Charlie was talking about users who have been on Youtube for years and dont have a lot of subscribers on an exclusive BlogTV show he did the other week and I thought I'll chime in and say "Im Underground I think" but Charlie doesnt think Im underground which I can understand his reason because of the attention I got from the community in the past which is great. Now here is my reason for saying Im underground that I dont get real attention on the Internet in general as I may have 3000 subscribers but only getting 10-20% of them watching regularly as it could be down to a number of reasons. Im also a bit more focused on doing IRL stuff lately.
Im not a fan of the phrase "Youtube Famous" as some people say Im one when I know I am not. The reason I dont like it as Im worried I could get an ego with it. Sometimes I do let my ego go and I know everyone does and we should be proud of it at times but there is a time in my life where I dont want to have a big ego. If I was 18 If someone said to me Im this famous, I would shout it from the rooftop, so its true that when you get older you get greater wisdom. So please dont call me Youtube Famous as part of me dies and it makes me sad + miserable with the Internet this also connects with my theory with me being underground.
I want to ask a question to you
What is Underground and what is mainstream to you? Its because of all have different opinions on what we believe.
FINALLY
Today is a good day on Youtube website on the UK and Global Front Pages.
The Chartjackers Project that is managed by Charlie, Alex, Jimmy and Johnny to try to get a single to number 1 by the time Children In Need comes about has been featured on the front page on the UK Site of Youtube.
DFTBA Records has also been featured on Youtube but on the Global Front Page which is fantastic news, I think it is a fantastic label to get musicians out who really need help on getting people to listen to their music. The Label is Managed by Hank Green (Vlogbrothers) and Alan (Fallofautumndistro).
Heres some videos of DFTBA Records.
Introduction
Can't by Alan Lastufka (Fallofautumndistro) and Tom Milsom (Hexachordal)
Holding On Alex Day (Nerimon)
FINALIE
One more final note one of my eariler videos from the Summer "Worthing Birdman Dairy Day 1" has been promoted by Youtube which is excellent news as I really like that video but I wished they promoted the Day 2 as well. Thanks again Youtube and thanks to DirectorToby and MyNameIsChrisYeah for pointing this out to me via comments while I was in Brighton the other day in the apple store of all places.
OK I got to go guys have a great week.

Mid September Update (Reality, Things You Cant Live Without, Second Facebook, Interview For Music Video and First Thoughts of Batman Arkham Asylum)
Hey guys
Before I begin I have a new Barry Aldridge Asks which features Mickeleh on Whats Your Favourite Doctor Who Story?
OK onto the blog entry
BACK TO REALITY
It is back to reality for me this month which is a pain but as the saying goes "What goes up must come down", after having a lot of fun then comes the dull period that nobody likes. I have been looking for work and its been awhile since I had some work and Im now looking anything in particular even if it is a christmas job, I wouldnt mind a christmas job but I rather have a permanent job. I know I aint going to get big on the Internet which actually is good news, I rather have the normal life to be living as a normal job would be better for me.
BENJY'S 5 THINGS YOU CANT LIVE WITHOUT
Now I was reading Benjy's blog and it was interesting to find out 5 things he couldnt live without, I can understand him having Elly (Benjy's Girlfriend) as one of them, if I had a girlfriend I would say that too. I would join in but I did this a while ago but mentioned more things as I have done a video about it which a few people responded as while which I will also include -
BillTVMacon Response
TEMPHUiBIS Response
Laurenb2k8 Response
Lomasca Response
MyNameIsChrisYeah Response
Shadowlostarts Response
LinserProductions Response
Hope you enjoy and I really liked Benjy's entry to bring these videos back to people attention.
SECOND FACEBOOK
I know some of you are wondering why I have a second facebook account called Barry rnng Aldridge and it is me. The second one is for online friends only as I have seen a few people do this like AlexTheMagix, IMustBeTino and Eddplant and thought this is an excellent idea. I will be keeping some online friends on my original facebook but not many as I have some thoughts that I would like to share with certain people but not everyone without using messaging. I had a few friends who suggested my new one to my original one which was really funny to see.
I still have people adding me on my original facebook which I may defer to in the future if it keeps up.
INTERVIEW FOR TEMPHUiBIS MUSIC VIDEO FINAL TRAILER
I forgot to mention in my last blog entry that I took part in a trailer for my friend TEMPHUiBIS for an interview that I did back in August which was uploaded last Saturday. This is a brilliant trailer and the video that is coming out on the 26th is awesome. I have already watched TEMP's video and by the end of it I was clapping and thought it was the best music video I had seen for a long time based on ideas and creativity. Well done TEMPHUiBIS.
Here's the Interview Trailer
FIRST THOUGHTS OF BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM
OK guys I have finally bought Batman Arkham Asylum and I have to say this is a brilliant game and couldnt stop talking about on Twitter to be that damn good. The look of the game is brilliant, It has a good flow to what you can do. You use the Grapel to hide behind gargoyle and you can glide kick your enemies. The combo moves are awesome but can be a pain at times with the AI. I love the boss battles so far especially the ones with Scarecrow which are creepy but really good storytelling. It has a fantastic story and I agree with a lot of people that it is the Best Batman game and the best comic book game ever.
I will do a proper review in the future with a Youtube video which I havent done a game review in ages for Youtube and would be nice to do again.
Here's the opening bit from Batman Arkham Asylum
OK guys thats it for now

The Simpsons & My Final Thoughts About The Summer
Hey Guys
THE SIMPSONS
I have been starting to watch The Simpsons, well before it started to really suck around Season 10. I have been watching eariler Simpsons episodes because I find them more easier to watch than the later episodes.
The comedy timing was there between Season 3 to Season 7. Season 8 and 9 had a few good episodes but the season were average to good at best. Around Season 10 it got so bad and the jokes were so random that it lost the original essence that it once had, which is a shame. Now they are up to Season 20 and going on to Season 21 which is amazing but to me I feel the show should have stopped around Season 9 or 10 but at least its got a new school fanbase that know the later years of The Simpsons. It was weird that I followed the religion of The Simpsons up until I was 16 when the show stopped being good.
To people asking me what my favourite seasons of the show was is Season 5 & 6. Here's a picture from Dailybooth.

FINAL THOUGHTS OF SUMMER
This summer is the best one I have ever had, Its a shock to me, normally Summers can be a drag to me because of the weather which I have mentioned. OK here are my final thoughts.
I will say that my gatherings throughout the summer was The Indepedence Day Gathering that I went to on the 4th of July organised by Alasdir and The Bristol Gathering organised last weekend by Jacob Dyer. They were very relaxed gatherings where everyone got to talk to everyone and there were no issues with one another. The Bristol one was really good because it was the only gathering that I went to that wasnt in London.
Summer In The City was amazing but I agree with StressedTechincan when reading his blog that I felt I went to better gatherings. I know a lot of people say it was the best weekend they ever had for a gathering and meeting a load of people but to me I felt I didnt have enough time to get know people where the two I mentioned I got to know a lot more people. There was a part of me that didnt want to be there as I felt I was forced to come, please dont ask about that Im over it now.
The London Film & Comic Convention was good and better than 2008 one but not as good as the 2007 one. Worthing Birdman as I mentioned was good but may try the Airshow next year unless they are different dates then I could go to both the Shoreham Airshow and Worthing Birdman.
The trips to the Westcountry were brilliant, I still call Bath Spa a place of Heaven and Bristol is still brilliant which was the gathering I mentioned. I would go back to the Westcountry anyday once I get the funds to go.
OK thats the last time I will be talking about the summer.
Have a great week everyone

Bristol Gathering = Outstanding (WHAT A DAY) + Train Lag + Batman Arkham Asylum
Hey Guys
BRISTOL GATHERING = OUTSTANDING (WHAT A DAY)
Its Sunday and its been a day since the Bristol gathering and had a brilliant day at the gathering, I have to say well done to Jacob Dyer for organising the event which was awesome.
I didnt get lost this year at the gathering everyone was waiting outside the station and this years one was more organised and had a good flow to the day. Although the rain during parts of the day and me walking back to the station were a pain but I will say I did enjoy the rain when walking back to Bristol Temple Meads Station.
I did take part in a Dailybooth picture with Jerry Cooke, Fawn, Cass, Daniel and someone I cant remember their name. It was taken at the Apple Store in Cabot Square, Bristol yesterday.

There was so much stuff that happened which could take some time to do a video and the earilest for it could be Wednesday as I have an idea for the Intro before the title sequence and its one of the best things I have ever thought about.
Here are a couple of photos I found on Facebook that included me at the gathering

It was thanks to Leigh (Luquos on Youtube) who tagged me in those pictures from Facebook.
Overall I found this years Bristol Gathering to be my favourite of the year and it was really cool that it took many different levels, it was great. There are some videos from the gathering that was upload ASAP by John (StressedTechincan) on his secondary channel and its nice short clips of what was going on.
I like the Gallery one because it had some great artwork and woodwork. Anyway It was a great day overall.
TRAIN LAG
Vlog is coming later this week and the reason he doing it later this week is because of TRAIN LAG.
For the first time ever I am suffering from TRAIN LAG because the journey back home even though it took 3 and half hours it felt like forever going back home to Lancing. Im still suffering it now. Could be until Monday afternoon at the earilest that I will be fully be back to normal. I will be heading out to Portsmouth on Tuesday for some thinking time like I did in Bath a month ago. So Yeah once I get over the Train Lag and got the idea for the intro, the Bristol gathering video will be up and running.
OK Finally
BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM
This game is a game I want to get in the future it looks so good and I played it in HMV Worthing the other week, had some problems with what to do but it looks so good and what a brilliant game. I have been deciding whether to buy it or not because of money issues. I have been watching a few reviews from Youtube from IGN, The Gadget Show, ITN's Game On Channel and Youtubes own DigitilSoul
IGN Review
The Gadget Show Review
Game On Review
DigitilSoul Review
With the reviews being positive I will be getting this game indeed over the next week, people are saying not to get the collectors edition because the Batrang being the worst piece of plastic ever.
Im getting better again now at blog writing after saying I have been shit over the last couple of weeks.
Thats it for now. My next blog entry will feature my Bristol Gathering and any other videos from the gathering I know that Lomasca will be having a video from the event which I am excited about because I have seen some of it and also take part in some of it as well.
Take Care everyone

One Down & One Go + Shrek
Hey Guys
I had a really good day on Saturday at Summer In The City. As a big gathering went it was the best one I have been to and it was really good day. I have done a couple of videos which was one at the Apple Store on the evening just after I left Hyde Park
The Second Video I did was the main vlog talking about the whole experience.
The videos explain it best about my day at the gathering.
God Im getting shit at writing blogs now.
Anyway as the title explains that there is gathering coming up this Saturday and it is in Bristol being organised by JacobDyerMedia. I am really looking forward to the gathering. Here's the gathering video done by Jacob Dyer and Chris Lomas (Lomasca), its a really funny video and well done to both of them.
The Bristol gathering was my favourite from last year and I know its going to be the same. I know that Gary (CheekTV), John (StressedTechnican), James, Sophie (Sophink91) - Maybe and some others will be coming.
When I was thinking about the Bristol Gathering and last years gathering the first thing I thought of was NSG's Video of the gathering and I regard it as the best gathering video ever.
It symbolize the day best.
I will be taking along my camera for the event as I have been taking my camera on a lot of travels lately which is brilliant.
OK soon as I got home from the gathering, the very next day I decided to watch Shrek for the first time in ages and I have to say it was brilliant to watch.
One of my favourites up there with the Classic Disney Stories and some of the Pixar films.
Well thats it for now, Im starting to realise Im not good at writing blogs at the moment, may need to get back into practice.
Anyway for anyone coming to Bristol on Saturday I will see you then if not It could be awhile before I go to another gathering.
Speak Soon
